Daniel W. Ball was born on 16 March 1795 at Marlborough, Cheshire Co., NH.2 He was the son of Daniel Ball and Lydia Smith. Daniel W. Ball married Hannah Bolles, daughter of Nathaniel Bolles and Hannah (????), on 3 December 1816 at NH. Daniel W. Ball married Caroline Eager on 21 September 1868 at Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT.1
Comment by DGB: The marriage record for Daniel and his second wife Caroline clearly lists Daniel's birthplace as Marlborough NH and his parents as Daniel and Lydia Ball. My guess is that Daniel separated from his first wife sometime between 1848 and 1860 to take up living with Caroline (who he did not formally marry until 1868). It is still not clear whether Altruman Ball was the son of both Daniel and Caroline or just one of those two. End of comment.
