     Mary Lucretia Ball was born on 26 April 1856 at New Shoreham, Block Island, Washington Co., RI.¹ She was the daughter of Bartlett Ball and Lucinda Pocock.² Mary Lucretia Ball married William Rowland Dodge, son of Edmund Dodge and Eliza Maxson Alger, on 8 August 1880 at New Shoreham, Block Island, Washington Co., RI.¹ Mary Lucretia Ball died on 25 March 1935 at Newport, Newport Co., RI, at age 78.¹
     As of 8 August 1880,her married name was Dodge.¹

     Bersheba D. Mitchell was born on 8 October 1833 at Block Island, Washington Co., RI.² She was the daughter of Robert Chittry Mitchell and Elizabeth Laura Rose.³ Bersheba D. Mitchell married Leander A. Ball, son of Gideon Dodge Ball and Lydia S. Dodge, on 18 June 1857 at New Shoreham, Block Island, Washington Co., RI.⁴ Bersheba D. Mitchell died on 24 May 1906 at New Shoreham, Block Island, Washington Co., RI, at age 72.¹

     Julia Lavina Littlefield was born on 13 October 1834 at RI.¹ She married Edward Gideon Ball, son of Gideon Dodge Ball and Lydia S. Dodge, say 1854.¹ Julia Lavina Littlefield died on 4 March 1931 at age 96.²

     Cornelia A. Ball was born in April 1851 at RI.^1,2 She was the daughter of Edward Gideon Ball.¹ Cornelia A. Ball married Charles I. Greene in October 1869.³
     Comment by DGB: It is a guess that Cornelia was by an unknown earlier wife (or other relationship) of Edward. Edward's known wife Julia would have been about 15 at Cornelia's birth and Edward's mother would have been about 52, so neither are attractive candidates. That said, though, Julia is listed as having had three children in the 1900 census, so it may be that she was Cornelia's mother. End of comment. As of October 1869,her married name was Greene.³

     Warren A. Ball was born in June 1855 at RI.^1,2 He was the son of Edward Gideon Ball and Julia Lavina Littlefield.¹ Warren A. Ball married Ann C. (????) circa 1879.³

     Edward G. Ball was born in March 1860 at RI.² He was the son of Edward Gideon Ball and Julia Lavina Littlefield.¹ Edward G. Ball married Sarah R. Dewey, daughter of James E. Dewey and Rosanna (????), on 18 June 1884 at Providence, Providence Co., RI; "Sarah R. Derry."³ Edward G. Ball died in 1937.⁴

     Marlboro Ball was born circa 1800 at RI.¹
     Comment by DGB: For the 1860 census he was living near the family of William Ball (son of Isaiah Ball and Margaret Dodge). It is possible that Marlboro was a brother of William. End of comment.

     Joseph Ball was born circa 1834 at RI.¹
     Comment by DGB: This may just be a second census listing for Joseph Ball, son of Lyman and Ilyndra Ball. The problem is that this person is shown as a "miller" and two weeks later the other Joseph is shown as a farmer. End of comment.

     Almira Dewey was born in July 1831 at New Shoreham, Block Island, Washington Co., RI.^2,3 She married William B. S. Ball, son of Lyman C. Ball and Ilyndia Rose, circa 1860.¹ Almira Dewey died in 1919.¹
