Dr. Doric S. Ball1

     Dr. Doric S. Ball was born on 13 June 1806 at Savannah, Chatham Co., GA.1,2 He was the son of Frederick Ball and Eliza Toxey.1 Dr. Doric S. Ball was baptized on 11 November 1838 at Christ Episcopal Church, Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa Co., AL.2 He married Harriett Sarah Jemison, daughter of William Jemison and Sarah Mims, on 10 August 1830.3 Dr. Doric S. Ball died on 1 December 1869 at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, LA, at age 63.2
     From the Masonic records provided by the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Alabama: "Doric S. Ball was initiated into Masonry in Rising Virtue Lodge #4, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on December 8, 1828. He received the Fellowcraft Degree on December 10, 1828 and was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on December 10, 1828. He served Rising Virtue Lodge as Worshipful Master in 1830, 1831, and 1837. He was Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Alabama 1837 and 1838. He was granted a Demit on December 4, 1838, and passed away in New Orleans on December 1, 1869."2

     Corinthia Ann Ball was born on 14 July 1808 at Savannah, Chatham Co., GA.1 She was the daughter of Frederick Ball and Eliza Toxey.2 Corinthia Ann Ball died on 5 February 1826 at GA at age 17.1 She was buried at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, Wilkes Co., GA.3
