Abernathey married John T. Thornburg, son of James B. Thornburg and Mary J. (????), on 3 April 1953 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IN.³ Edith R. Abernathey married Martin Clevenger, son of Martin Clevenger and Nancy A. Tucker, on 27 October 1934 at Franklin Co., IN.⁵ Edith R. Abernathey died on 22 October 1966 at Idaho Falls, Bonneville Co., ID, at age 79.³

Tucker.³ Martin Clevenger married Josephine Anna Levi on 17 November 1892 at Rush Co., IN.^3,4 Martin Clevenger married Edith R. Abernathey, daughter of Jotham Riley Abernathey and Olive Magnolia Ball, on 29 April 1904 at Ripley Co., IN.⁵ Martin Clevenger and Edith R. Abernathey were divorced.⁶ Martin Clevenger married Edith R. Abernathey, daughter of Jotham Riley Abernathey and Olive Magnolia Ball, on 27 October 1934 at Franklin Co., IN.⁶ Martin Clevenger died on 25 February 1953 at Rushville, Rush Co., IN, at age 87.^2,3

     Gertrude Dye was born on 25 July 1871 at Effingham Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of James Eli Dye and Louisa Mosier.² Gertrude Dye married Jonathan Eddy Ball, son of William George Ball and Martha Ann Moore, in 1888.¹ Gertrude Dye died on 19 November 1917 at Greene Co., IN, at age 46.² She was buried at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Lyons, Greene Co., IN.²
     As of 1888,her married name was Ball.

     Orlando R. Ball was born on 18 June 1890 at IN.^1,2 He was the son of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.¹

     Fern G. Ball was born on 14 February 1892.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.¹ Fern G. Ball died on 29 August 1896 at age 4.¹

     Lloyd W. Ball was born on 17 May 1895.¹ He was the son of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.¹ Lloyd W. Ball died on 3 September 1896 at age 1.¹

     Harrell Ephraim Ball was born on 16 March 1897 at Washington, Greene Co., IN.^2,1 He was the son of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.³ Harrell Ephraim Ball married Ada Edith Padgett, daughter of Henry Taylor Padgett and Laura Jane Fielder, on 28 June 1919 at Daviess Co., IN.¹ Harrell Ephraim Ball died in 1950.³

     Roy T. Ball was born on 7 May 1899 at Lyons, Greene Co., IN.^2,3 He was the son of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.¹ Roy T. Ball married Mahala Hedrich, daughter of J. W. Hedrich and Laura Bartlett, on 19 April 1941 at Henry Co., IN.³ Roy T. Ball died in 1977.¹
     He was first married before 1940 and divorced July 1940.³

     George W. Ball was born on 29 April 1901 at Greene Co., IN.^2,3 He was the son of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.¹ George W. Ball married Hazel Pleasant, daughter of Jacob Pleasant and Laura Horn, on 2 November 1941 at Henry Co., IN.³

     Mary Ball was born on 3 April 1907 at Letts, Decatur Co., IN; twin of Martha.^2,3 She was the daughter of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye.¹ Mary Ball died in 1924.¹

     Ada Edith Padgett was born on 16 January 1897 at Steele, Daviess Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Taylor Padgett and Laura Jane Fielder.¹ Ada Edith Padgett married Harrell Ephraim Ball, son of Jonathan Eddy Ball and Gertrude Dye, on 28 June 1919 at Daviess Co., IN.¹
     As of 28 June 1919,her married name was Ball.
