     She Comment by DGB: "Stratton" may have been from an earlier marriage. There was a Sarah (Cook) Ladd, age 72, born Woodstock VT, died May 2, 1876 at Thetford, VT. In addition, at Thetford VT was recorded the death on 30 Jan 1848 of Cyrel Emerson Cook, (age 9y, 3m, 7d), an adopted son of Alfred and Sarah Ladd that further suggests a strong connection to a Cook family. End of comment.1 As of say 1822,her married name was Stratton.1 As of 21 March 1824,her married name was Ladd.
