Sawyer.² Sophronia Wardwell Ball married John Nelson Ames, son of John Ames and Nancy Clement, on 24 August 1903 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.³ Sophronia Wardwell Ball died on 20 March 1912 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME, at age 73.¹ She was buried at Mount Adams Cemetery, Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.⁴

Ball married Nancy Hutchinson, daughter of John Hutchinson and Lydia Ann Harris, on 12 September 1836 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.² Chester H. Ball died on 5 April 1895 at Deering, Cumberland Co., ME.¹ He was buried at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland, Cumberland Co., ME.³

     Nancy Hutchinson was born circa February 1818 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.¹ She was the daughter of John Hutchinson and Lydia Ann Harris.¹ Nancy Hutchinson married Chester H. Ball, son of Nathan Ball and Mary Bray, on 12 September 1836 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.¹ Nancy Hutchinson died on 5 March 1903.¹
     As of 12 September 1836,her married name was Ball.

     Nathan Ball was born at ME; Son Chester on the 1880 census listed his father's birthplace as Maine.² He married Mary Bray on 21 January 1811 at Castine, Hancock Co., ME.¹ Nathan Ball died circa 1822; lost at sea.
     Nathan Ball Sr. was a pilot out of Boston and he piloted the ship "Albion" out of Boston and left her in his pilot boat off Boston Harbor and returning his boat was wrecked and his body was not found.³

     Comment by DGB: Some sources have Mary marrying second to Ezekiel Morey, by whom she was said to have had two children, Ezekiel and Mary (who married William Cole, son of Benjamin). The problem is that the daughter Mary Morey would have been born a bit before Chester Ball, so it is not likely that the same Mary was mother of both. End of comment. As of 21 January 1811,her married name was Ball.

     Nathan Ball was born between 1811 and 1816.² He was the son of Nathan Ball and Mary Bray.¹ Nathan Ball married Mary (????) circa 1831.¹
     Comment by DGB: Some sources have Nathan marrying the daughter of Daniel Pickering and Mary Hayden, perhaps a Mary Pickering b. c1807 and d. at Belfast, Waldo Co., ME. End of comment.

Ball and Nancy Hutchinson.¹ Sarah Bray Ball married Martin Hurd, son of John Hurd, on 22 August 1858 at Hancock Co., ME.² Sarah Bray Ball married Terrance Corrin.³ Sarah Bray Ball married Arthur Parker Fenlasen, son of Wallace Fenlasen and Mary Ann Hersey, on 17 April 1899 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.^4,5
     As of 22 August 1858,her married name was Hurd. Her married name was Tainter. Her married name was Corrin. As of 17 April 1899,her married name was Fenlasen.

     Isaac H. Ball was born on 31 January 1846 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.² He was the son of Chester H. Ball and Nancy Hutchinson.² Isaac H. Ball married Lydia J. Gray, daughter of John E. Gray and Nancy (????), on 18 March 1865 at Winterport, Waldo Co., ME.³ Isaac H. Ball married Mercy Susan Weed, daughter of David Weed and Pamelia (????), on 5 February 1873 at Rockland, Knox Co., ME.⁴ Isaac H. Ball married Ida A. Cooney, daughter of James Cooney and Eleanor J. Morse, on 10 May 1886 at Portland, Cumberland Co., ME.⁵ Isaac H. Ball died on 13 January 1921 at Portland, Cumberland Co., ME, at age 74.²

     Lydia Ann Ball was born circa 1843 at Deer Isle, Hancock Co., ME.¹ She was the daughter of Chester H. Ball and Nancy Hutchinson.¹ Lydia Ann Ball married George W. Sadler, son of Joshua Sadler and Mary Crabtree, on 18 June 1860 at Hancock Co., ME.² Lydia Ann Ball and George W. Sadler were divorced before 1868 at ME.³
     As of 18 June 1860,her married name was Sadler. Her married name was Wilson.⁴
