     Foster A. Cohoon was born on 13 June 1920 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Foster L. Cohoon and Helen Elder.¹ Foster A. Cohoon married Dorothy Bridgeman.¹ Foster A. Cohoon died on 26 November 2002 at Worcester, Worcester Co., MA, at age 82.¹ He was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn, Worcester Co., MA.¹
     From an obituary in the "Telegram & Gazette": AUBURN -- Foster A. Cohoon, 82, of 112 Elmwood St., died Tuesday, Nov. 26, in Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester after an illness. He leaves his wife of 26 years, Charlotte W. (Millay) Cohoon; a son, F. Samuel Cohoon of East Greenbush, N.Y; three daughters, Faith C. Leonard of Reston, Va., Susan B. Warner of Wilbraham, and Mona C. Graves of Holden; two stepsons, Scott P. Hemming and Bruce B. Hemming, both of Webster; a stepdaughter, Laurie L. Weidman of Holliston; a brother, John Cohoon of Westfield, N.J; a sister, Barbara E. Cobb of Newark, Ohio; nine grandchildren; four great- grandchildren. His first wife, Dorothy (Bridgeman) Cohoon, died in 1975. He was born in Springfield, son of Foster L. and Helen (Elder) Cohoon, and lived 52 years in Auburn. He graduated from Franklin High School. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Mr. Cohoon was a sales manager at Vaughn Corp. in Salisbury for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Pakachoag Church and Joel H. Prouty Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of the Springfield Valley. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, in Pakachoag Church, 203 Pakachoag St. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, in Britton- Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jewish Healthcare Center.¹
