Bentley on 21 March 1889.¹ Charles Henry Lackore married Matilda Johnson on 31 December 1890 at Forest City, Winnebago Co., IA.¹ Charles Henry Lackore died on 12 July 1947 at age 84.¹ He was buried at Madison Township Cemetery, Madison Township, Hancock Co., IA.¹
     Following time with the railroad in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Charles was a station agent for the railroad and conducted a grain and coal business at Hayfield (a small town of about 150 people and part of Madison), Iowa, where he built the first elevator of the town. In 1902 he resigned from his railroad position and concentrated his efforts and attention upon the hardware and implement trade and the banking business. He was the cashier, manager, and owned the Bank of Hayfield, which was located in his store. In addition he was an assessor and became the first postmaster of Hayfield, which position he filled for five years.¹

     Matilda Johnson was born on 9 June 1872 at Sweden.¹ She married Charles Henry Lackore, son of George Wilmington Lackore and Mary Jane Ball, on 31 December 1890 at Forest City, Winnebago Co., IA.¹ Matilda Johnson died on 11 July 1953 at age 81.¹ She was buried at Madison Township Cemetery, Madison Township, Hancock Co., IA.¹
     As of 31 December 1890,her married name was Lackore.

     Gladys Dora Lackore was born on 13 March 1906 at IA.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Henry Lackore and Matilda Johnson.¹ Gladys Dora Lackore died on 8 March 1985 at age 78.¹
