Born Jan. 30, 1894, in Topeka, he lived in Hutchinson most of his life and was a retired Cessna employe. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors are wife, Cerise; sons: Harvey T. West Jr., Topeka: Robert B., Arlington Heights, Ill; stepson: William M. Dimmick,1507 Center; step-daughter: Mrs. Yvonne Hogan, 325 East 7th; brothers: Dewey, William H., Ralph E., all of Topeka: sisters: Mrs. Nel Doty, Mrs. Flora Frost, Miss Pearl West, Miss Velma West, all of Topeka, Mrs. Elizabeth Slawson, Wichita: 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.¹

     Laura Lemay was born circa 1875 at OH.² She married Marcellus Zachariah Bardwell, son of Silas Bardwell and Bathsheba Mahala Ball, circa 1889.²

     As of 26 December 1927,her married name was Mittendorf. From an obituary: Mabel B. Mittendorf, 91, formerly of 115 East 10th, died June 15, 1994 at Golden Plains Health Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 4, 1902 in Ness County, the daughter of Millard and Hattie Glaspy Bardwell. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a retired salesperson for the former Wiley's Department Store and Pegues. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, the Acacia Chapter No. 464 Order of the Eastern Star and the American Business Women's Association. Survivors include; a daughter, Barbara Conover, Spokane, Wash; a sister, Thelma Winn, Wichita; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be announced later by Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the church in care of the mortuary.¹

     Arthur Mittendorf was born on 23 June 1902 at Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH.¹ He married Mabel Seville Bardwell, daughter of Millard Silas Bardwell and Hattie Bell Glaspy, on 26 December 1927 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS.¹ Arthur Mittendorf died in March 1986 at Milford, Clermont Co., OH, at age 83.¹

     Millard Marcelus Bardwell was born on 21 May 1905 at Ness Co., KS.¹ He was the son of Millard Silas Bardwell and Hattie Bell Glaspy.¹ Millard Marcelus Bardwell married Flora Howard, daughter of Byron Anderson Howard and Nida Grange, on 28 June 1941 at Huntington, Emery Co., UT.¹ Millard Marcelus Bardwell died on 25 October 1958 at Panguitch, Garfield Co., UT, at age 53.¹ He was buried on 29 October 1958 at Holladay Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT.¹
     He was a cigarette salesman in Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, etc.¹

     Flora Howard was born on 29 October 1917 at Huntington, Emery Co., UT.¹ She was the daughter of Byron Anderson Howard and Nida Grange.¹ Flora Howard was baptized on 6 January 1918.¹ She married Millard Marcelus Bardwell, son of Millard Silas Bardwell and Hattie Bell Glaspy, on 28 June 1941 at Huntington, Emery Co., UT.¹ Flora Howard died on 9 December 1990 at Logan, Cache Co., UT, at age 73.¹ She was buried on 12 December 1990 at Holladay Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., UT.¹

     Hetty Elvina Bardwell was born on 16 July 1908 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS.¹ She was the daughter of Millard Silas Bardwell and Hattie Bell Glaspy.¹ Hetty Elvina Bardwell married Ralph Hercules Stutzman on 2 June 1938 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS.¹ Hetty Elvina Bardwell died on 28 March 1975 at Harper, Harper Co., KS, at age 66.¹ She was buried on 30 March 1975 at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Crystal Springs, Harper Co., KS.¹

She was a member of Presbyterian Church; Reitred Teachers Association; Eastern Star; P. E. O; Delta Kappa Gamma. Survivors are the widower; son; Lt. Ralph, Lawton, Okla; sisters: Mrs. Thelma Winn, Wichita; Mrs. Mabel Mittendorf, Hutchinson. Funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Elliot-Brownell-Wiley Funeral Home; Rev. James H. Smith. Burial will be in Crystal Springs Cemetery.¹
