Ball married Harriett Isabelle Fergason, daughter of Samuel Washington Fergason and Mary Aydon Muzzy, on 9 October 1867.¹ Caleb A. Ball married Caroline M. Stuart, daughter of Ithamer Warner Stuart and Margaret Holloway, on 17 September 1873.¹ Caleb A. Ball died on 7 December 1882 at Rush Co., IN, at age 47.¹ He was buried at Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Henry Co., IN.²
