     Duncan MacCrimmon was born circa 1802 at Scotland.1 He was the son of Donald Ogg MacCrimmon and Anna MacLeod. Duncan MacCrimmon married Isabel MacLeod say 1830.1 Duncan MacCrimmon died circa 1859.
     Duncan married Isabella McLeod of Kirk Hill and settled on the east halfof lot 34 Concession 8 Lochiel. Duncan died at the age of fifty-seven years and left a family of six sons and five daughters. His widow survived him some twenty-five years. This homestead was occupied by his son Neil till he died a number of years ago, when it passed out of the family.

     Duncan MacCrimmon possibly was the son of Malcolm MacCrimmon (1695-1769). He DUNCAN MACCRIMMON: ( A Lieu. Duncan MacCrimmon or MacCrummen was gazetted ensign from volunteer in the 42nd Highlanders (Black Watch) on 5 Jan. 1814. His regiment had the distinction of leading the attack on the French redoubts at the battle of Toulouse on 10 April 1814. Out of the 500 men who went into action only ninety reached the objective - to which the bloodstained colour with broken staff was brought by a sergeant after three previous bearers, one of whom was MacCrimmon, had been killed).
