Sophia Bennett died on 18 April 1867.¹ She was buried at McNamee Cemetery, Spring Lake, Hancock Co., IN.¹

Rebecca Foster died on 21 August 1833 at Manchester, Sprigg, Adams Co., OH, at age 78. She was buried at Watson Farm, Adams Co., OH; With husband in the Moore lot on the Watson farm near Buzzards Roost Creek, between US 52 and the Ohio River near Manchester, Ohio. "A few years ago" the Dayton Light and Power Co. moved the bodies to the Manchester Cemetery, known as the IOOF Cemetery, at the east end of Eigth Street. Her marker reads, "Sacred to the memory of Rebecca Moore, consort of Rev. Moore, who departed this life Aug. 21st 1833 in the 79th year of her life." ("Sprigg Twp. Cemeteries.")

     He Settled on the farm "recently owned by Oliver Jones" in Jefferson Twp., Adams Co., OH, near Blue Creek post office. There were no settlements made outside the stockade at Three Islands, or Manchester, previous to 1795, and this date is probably the year that Moore's cabin was erected on Scioto Brush Creek, although it may have been a year later. ("A History of Adams County, Ohio") circa 1795. He It has been reasonably established that Joseph Moore was the first Methodist preacher in the Northwest Territory, having started a Methodist Society near Blue Creek, Ohio, Adams County, in 1797. The first Methodist Society organized in the Northwest Territory was at the humble cabin of Joseph Moore on Scioto Brush Creek in Adams County. In 1797 there was quite a number of settlers in the vicinity of Moore's cabin, and it was here and in this year that the Pioneer Methodist Society in Ohio, and the Northwest Territory, was organized. It is stated that Dr. Edward Tiffin, the first Governor of the State of Ohio, visited the class at Moore's in the year 1797. The congregation was organized among Joseph Moore's old New Jersey neighbors. ("A History of Adams County, Ohio") in 1797.

     Nathaniel Foster Jr. was born on 29 July 1730 at Morris Co., NJ. He was the son of Nathaniel Foster Sr. and Lydia (????) Nathaniel Foster Jr. married Mary Eldridge, daughter of Ensign Ezekial Eldridge Jr. and Elizabeth (????), on 19 March 1754 at Fishing Creek, Cape May, NJ. Nathaniel Foster Jr. died on 6 June 1763 at age 32.

     Nathaniel Foster Sr. was born in 1709 at Cape May, NJ. He married Lydia (????) circa 1729.

     Mary Eldridge was born on 3 January 1736 at Fishing Creek, Cape May, NJ. She was the daughter of Ensign Ezekial Eldridge Jr. and Elizabeth (????) Mary Eldridge married Nathaniel Foster Jr., son of Nathaniel Foster Sr. and Lydia (????), on 19 March 1754 at Fishing Creek, Cape May, NJ. Mary Eldridge died on 7 November 1764 at age 28.
     As of 19 March 1754,her married name was Foster.

     Ensign Ezekial Eldridge Jr. was born in 1696 at Fishing Creek, Cape May, NJ. He was the son of Ezekial Eldridge Sr. and Sarah Hand. Ensign Ezekial Eldridge Jr. married Elizabeth (????) Ensign Ezekial Eldridge Jr. died in 1739.

     Ezekial Eldridge Sr. was born in 1666 at Yarmouth, Barnstable Co., MA. He married Sarah Hand in 1693. Ezekial Eldridge Sr. died on 6 June 1710.
