     She graduated from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI, in 1934 with a BA in Education - Home Economics.¹ As of 29 June 1946,her married name was Isberg. From an obituary: Orpha Lila Streeter Isberg passed away March 17, 2006 in Lees Summit, Missouri. Lila was born March 3, 1912 in Rockford, MI to Alger R. and Elva (Dunn) Streeter. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 1934 with a degree in education. Lila taught for 12 years in Tustin, MI, 2 years in Cement City, MI and 13 years in Gladwin, MI. before retiring. She married Paul W. Isberg in 1946, raised their two sons and was the office manager of the family heating and cooling business in Jackson. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, and her sister Ruth Streeter and brother Carl Streeter. After Paul passed away in 1978, Lila traveled extensively with senior citizen group tours, served in various capacities with the Gladwin Retired Teachers Association and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Lila is survived by her sons Larry (Jacqueline) Isberg of Lees Summit, Missouri, and Ernest (Debra) Isberg of Midland. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, one great grandchild, her brother Harold (Pauline) Streeter, her aunt Mary Carpenter both of Rockford, Michigan and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Lila will be buried next to her husband Paul at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin, MI.¹

     Paul Walter Isberg was born on 21 July 1912 at Burdell, Osceola Co., MI.^1,2 He married Orpha Lila Streeter, daughter of Alger Randolph Streeter and Elva G. Dunn, on 29 June 1946 at First Baptist Church, Rockford, Kent Co., MI.¹ Paul Walter Isberg died on 9 September 1978 at Midland Hospital, Midland, Midland Co., MI, at age 66; SSDI lists last residence as Gladwin, Gladwin Co., MI.^1,2 He was buried at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin, Gladwin Co., MI.¹
     He served in the Army Air Corp in the Aleutian Islands and Kissimee FL in 1942.¹ From an obituary from the "Gladwin County Record": Paul W. Isberg, 66, of 709 North Erie St., Gladwin, died Saturday, Sept. 9, in the Midland Hospital Center following a short illness. Born in Tustin on July 21, 1912, he came to Gladwin County in 1964 from Jackson. He was a sheetmetal worker for Alward Electric in Gladwin. Mr. Isberg was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Gladwin Fraternal Order of Eagles 3292. He was married to the former Lila Streeter in 1946 in Rockford. Besides his wife; he is survived by 2 sons, Larry of Independence, Mo. and Ernest of Midland; and 2 grandchildren.¹

     Alger Randolph Streeter was born on 8 November 1887 at Cedar Springs, Kent Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Thomas Randolph Streeter and Susie Lucinda Huckleberry.¹ Alger Randolph Streeter married Elva G. Dunn, daughter of George Henry Dunn and Jennie Amelia Davis, on 22 May 1909 at Cedar Springs, Kent Co., MI.¹ Alger Randolph Streeter died on 15 October 1944 at Rockford, Kent Co., MI, at age 56.¹ He was buried on 19 October 1944 at Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, Kent Co., MI.¹
     From an obituary: Alger Streeter 57, of Rockford foreman of the Wolverine Shoe and Tanning Corporation in Rockford suffered a heart attack while driving his car late sunday afternoon and died a few hours after at the home of his brother-in-law Chester Dunn, in Courtland township where he had stopped to rest. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges. Surviving are the widow, Elva; two daughters, Ruth, a teacher in Plainwell and Lila who is a teacher in the Tustin school; two sons in service, Carl in France and Harold at North Camp Hood, Tex; one sister Mrs. Mary Empie of Cedar Springs and three brothers, Charles and H.D. of Rockford and Ted of Cedar Springs. Alger started collecting postcards in 1908 saving them in an album designed for that purpose. Many of the postcards had messages on them usually notes from family about items like invitations to dinner etc. Sisters Mary and Bernice both wrote him teasing notes about his riding a goat. Others had messages from friends about their travels or sharing news. He also saved postcards that Elva had received before and after their marriage. In 1910 he was part of the Modern Woodmen of America Drill Team in Rockford, Rogue River Camp 6022.¹

     Elva G. Dunn was born on 6 July 1885 at Cascade, Kent Co., MI.¹ She was the daughter of George Henry Dunn and Jennie Amelia Davis.¹ Elva G. Dunn married Alger Randolph Streeter, son of Thomas Randolph Streeter and Susie Lucinda Huckleberry, on 22 May 1909 at Cedar Springs, Kent Co., MI.¹ Elva G. Dunn died on 23 January 1959 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI, at age 73.¹ She was buried on 26 January 1959 at Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, Kent Co., MI.¹
     As of 22 May 1909,her married name was Streeter.

     George Henry Dunn was born on 2 February 1861 at Pulaski, Oswego Co., NY.¹ He married Jennie Amelia Davis, daughter of Alonzo Perry Davis and Betsy Ann Cornell, on 23 November 1884 at Ada, Kent Co., MI.¹ George Henry Dunn died on 18 November 1933 at Courtland, Kent Co., MI, at age 72.¹ He was buried at Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, Kent Co., MI.¹

     Ruth Marie Streeter was born on 12 May 1910 at Rockford, Kent Co., MI.^1,2 She was the daughter of Alger Randolph Streeter and Elva G. Dunn.¹ Ruth Marie Streeter died on 2 May 1991 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, at age 80; from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.^1,2 She was buried at Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, Kent Co., MI.¹
     Ruth started teaching in the late 1920's while taking Summer School classes at Western Michigan University to complete her degree. She taught for many years in Plainwell, MI. Then she went to Rockford to teach and later become an Elementary School Principal at Parkside Elementary School which opened in 1954. Ruth completed her B. A. in Education and continued attending Western Michigan University during Summer School until she received her Masters Degree in Education in the mid 1950's. Ruth was a Past Noble Grand of the Rebekahs - female auxiliary of the IOOF. Her father was in IOOF as was her maternal grandfather, George Henry Dunn.¹

     Carl Eugene Streeter was born on 11 January 1914 at Courtland, Kent Co., MI.^1,2 He was the son of Alger Randolph Streeter and Elva G.
