     Hannah Reed was born on 21 June 1772 at Hollis, Hillsborough Co., NH.¹ She was the daughter of Joshua Reed and Elizabeth (????)¹ Hannah Reed married Josiah Wheat, son of Thomas Wheat and Mary Ball.¹ Hannah Reed died on 11 May 1860 at age 87.¹

     From an obituary in the "Concord Monitor": Margaret H. Wheet, 83, of Coles Ledge Road, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Epsom Manor Health Center, following a long illness. She was born on the family farm, the daughter of Rexford E. and Bessie (McDuffie) Wheet and had lived in Barnstead all her life. Years ago, she was employed by Globe Manufacturing Co. in Pittsfield. She later worked at Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Concord. She also was an occupational therapist and worked at Havenwood in Concord and later for the Easter Seals Society. She was a member of the Parade Congregational Church. She was predeceased by two brothers, Merle and David Wheet; and a sister, Phyllis Willey. She is survived by four sisters, Vera Brown and Mary Prescott, both of Barnstead, Irene Broadbent of Epsom and Lee Dawson of Gilmanton Iron Works; two nieces; and many nephews.¹

     Vera Bessie Wheet was born on 1 December 1927 at Barnstead, Belknap Co., NH.¹ She was the daughter of Rexford Elwin Wheet and Bessie Wellington McDuffee.¹ Vera Bessie Wheet married Ralph Brown at Barnstead, Belknap Co., NH.¹ Vera Bessie Wheet died on 2 March 2011 at Barnstead, Belknap Co., NH, at age 83.¹
     Her married name was Brown. From an obituary: Vera B. (Wheet) Brown, 83, of Beauty Hill Road, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at home following a long illness. She was born on the Wheet family farm and has lived in Barnstead all of her life. She owned and operated Brown's General Store with her husband, Ralph A. Brown, in the 1970s. She later worked for Pittsfield Weaving Co. Her husband died in 1998. She is survived by three sons, Ralph Brown, Russell Brown and Randy Brown, all of Barnstead; a grandson, Jesse Brown; three granddaughters, Stephanie, Marla May and Shana Brown; three sisters, Mary Prescott of Barnstead, Irene Broadbent of Epsom and Lee Dawson of Gilmanton Iron Works; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.¹

     Mary Emma Wheet is the daughter of Rexford Elwin Wheet and Bessie Wellington McDuffee.¹

     David Josiah Wheet is the son of Rexford Elwin Wheet and Bessie Wellington McDuffee.¹

     Irene Ava Wheet is the daughter of Rexford Elwin Wheet and Bessie Wellington McDuffee.¹

     Lee Edna Wheet is the daughter of Rexford Elwin Wheet and Bessie Wellington McDuffee.¹

     Verne Josiah Wheet was born on 15 January 1895.² He was the son of Josiah Wheet and Abigail Ann McClure.¹ Verne Josiah Wheet married Louise Jones.² Verne Josiah Wheet died on 11 February 1974 at Bucksport, Hancock Co., ME, at age 79.² He was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Hancock Co., ME.²

     Lee Harold Wheet was the son of Josiah Wheet and Abigail Ann McClure.¹ Lee Harold Wheet married Lillian Jane Burnham on 12 March 1916.¹
