George W. Smith was born circa 1857 at PA.1 He was the son of Nathan Benoni Smith and Margaretta Alvira Culver.1 George W. Smith married Flora L. (????) circa 1879.3
Comment by DGB: There is a possibility that George's first wife, Flora, died before 1885 and that he married about then to a Katherine Pentz. This couple was living in Cleveland OH for the 1910 census with daughter Leona. That Leona first married a Mr. Galvin, then on 10 Jul 1920 married Robert Hill Lewis in Cuyahoga Co. OH. There is a further chance that this George W. Smith was the person 3 Feb 1919 in East Palestine, Columbiana Co. OH and buried at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland OH. End of comment.

Comment by DGB: Care must be taken when viewing various trees with this family. There are birth dates for George Culver as 12 Oct 1829, Nov 1829, 9 Dec 1829, and 1831. There are death dates for his including 12 Jan 1895, 12 Jun 1900, 6 Dec 1900, and 1901. There is a Find-A-Grave listing for a George "S." Culver buried at Oakland Cemetery, Warren Co., PA with a death date of 12 Jun 1900 and links to his second wife and some of his children, but without a plot location or any indication that the date came from cemetery records. There clearly has been a lot of copying without much solid documentation of sources. End of comment.
