     As of 30 January 1884,her married name was Ker.¹ There is a birth certificate late-registered 18 Feb 1943 and sworn to by Winnifred (Ker) Shaw that Sarah was the birth mother of the Harold Lawrence Ker that was born 16 Oct 1912 at Saltfleet, Wentworth Co., ON, Canada. Since Sarah would have been 54 years old and well beyond child birthing age, this was very likely a "statement of convenience". It is suspected that the true mother of Harold was Winnifred herself as the result of an out-of-wedlock event.³
