     Gouverneur Kemble Haswell was born on 17 February 1842 at NY.¹ He was the son of Charles Haynes Haswell and Ann Elizabeth Burns.^1,2 Gouverneur Kemble Haswell married Alice Ball, daughter of Trueworthy Muchmore Ball and Octavia Bell, on 24 September 1868 at South Church, Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., NH.³ Gouverneur Kemble Haswell died on 31 March 1918 at Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Co., CA, at age 76.^1,4 He was buried at Santa Barbara Cemetery, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Co., CA.⁴
