     Lawrence Rutherford Ball was born on 20 January 1900 at Whitinsville, Worcester Co., MA.1 He was the son of Appleton Cleaves Ball and Jennie Hamilton Gilmore.1 Lawrence Rutherford Ball married Alice Matilda Brown, daughter of Robert K. Brown and Matilda Steele, circa 1928.2,3 Lawrence Rutherford Ball died on 12 November 1967 at age 67; SSDI lists his last residence as Whitinsville, Worcester Co., MA.4,5 He was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Northbridge, Worcester Co., MA.2
     He was initiated into the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Massachusetts (Granite Lodge) on 28 January 1925.4
