     Catharine Lean was born on 18 March 1838 at WI.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Lean and Mercy (????)¹ Catharine Lean married Henry Seymour Ball, son of Aaron Jerome Ball and Lucretia Blodgett, on 10 December 1856 at Briggsville, Shasta Co., CA.¹ Catharine Lean died on 22 April 1881 at Salinas, Monterey Co., CA, at age 43.¹
     As of 10 December 1856,her married name was Ball.¹

     Leslie C. Ball was born on 13 July 1900 at Smith Mills, Chautauqua Co., NY.² He was the son of Frank Wesley Ball and Leora V. Daggett.¹ Leslie C. Ball married Viola J. Adams, daughter of George Adams and Pauline Mroz, on 28 December 1921 at Lackawanna, Erie Co., NY.² Leslie C. Ball died on 10 September 1984 at Dunkirk, Chautauqua Co., NY, at age 84.² He was buried at Balltown Cemetery, Hanover, NY.¹

     Harriet Seely was born in October 1833.¹ She married William Wallace Ball, son of Aaron Jerome Ball and Lucretia Blodgett, in July 1850.¹ Harriet Seely died on 30 April 1860 at CA at age 26.¹ She was buried at Ogburn Inwood Cemetery, Shingletown, Shasta Co., CA.²

     Leora V. Daggett was born in June 1880 at PA.² She was the daughter of Lorenzo Daggett and Lydia Peet.¹ Leora V. Daggett married Frank Wesley Ball, son of Alfred Henry Ball and Caroline M. Taylor, on 5 May 1897 at Hanover, Clinton Co., NY.¹ Leora V. Daggett died on 17 January 1947 at Ballston, Saratoga Co., NY, at age 66.¹ She was buried at Balltown Cemetery, Hanover, NY.³
     As of 5 May 1897,her married name was Ball. Sometime circa 1899 Frank Wesley Ball and Leora V. Daggett adopted a son that thereafter went by the name of Raymond H. Ball.¹
