     Orvis A. Ball was born circa September 1819 at QC, Canada; age at death 77y 8m.^2,3 He was the son of Joseph Ball and Lydia (????)³ Orvis A. Ball married Lydia Cole on 21 June 1842 at Baptist Church, Hatley, QC, Canada.⁴ Orvis A. Ball married Sarah E. Norton, daughter of Shadrack Norton and Abigail Porter, on 5 June 1854 at Baptist Church, Hatley, Stanstead Co., QC, Canada.⁴ Orvis A. Ball died on 9 May 1897 at Lowell, Middlesex Co., MA.³ He was buried at St. Johnsbury, Caledonia Co., VT.³
     Comment by DGB: Amos Edward Ball and his wife Mellisa Jane were highly likely to have been the witnesses at the wedding of Orvis Ball and Lydia Coles 26 June 1842 at Hatley, QC, Canada. The death record of Orvis states that his parents were Joseph and Lydia Ball, but Warren in his book thought that Amos was son of Moses Ball and Mary Putney. Whether Orvis and Amos were brothers or cousins is unknown, but it is highly likely that they were related. End of comment.

     Harriet E. Ball was born circa 1834 at NJ.² She was the daughter of Alexander Ball and Charlotte Osborne.¹ Harriet E. Ball died on 17 December 1853; her epitaph reads: 'Dear Harriet now has gone to rest, With Christ her Saviour she is blest; Her Spirit shines with spotless, ray-- Her limbs are now decaying back to clay.¹' She was buried at First Presbyterian Church of Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, Morris Co., NJ.³

     Lewis C. Ball was born circa January 1813; age at death 28y 9m.¹ He was the son of Moses Ball and Abigail Camp.¹ Lewis C. Ball married Mary Ann Post on 10 November 1833.¹ Lewis C. Ball died on 10 October 1841.¹ He was buried at First Presbyterian Church of Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, Morris Co., NJ.²

     Mary Ball was born on 25 August 1773 at NJ.^1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Ball and Rachel Tompkins.¹ Mary Ball married Robert Caldwell, son of William Caldwell and Elizabeth Thompson, on 29 November 1795 at Basking Ridge, Somerset Co., NJ.³ Mary Ball died circa 1853.¹
     As of 29 November 1795,her married name was Caldwell.

     Epaphras Cook was born on 20 January 1737/38 at NJ.¹ He died on 13 April 1809 at age 71.¹

     Thomas Sprigg was born in April 1800 at Millville, Cumberland Co., NJ.¹ He married Julia Ann Edwards, daughter of John Edwards and Phebe Ball Baker, on 26 October 1822 at Paterson, Passaic Co., NJ.¹ Thomas Sprigg died on 29 June 1870 at Newark, Essex Co., NJ, at age 70.¹

     Phebe Ann Sprigg was born in May 1837 at Springfield, NJ.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Sprigg and Julia Ann Edwards.¹ Phebe Ann Sprigg died on 7 May 1903 at Vailsburg, Newark, Essex Co., NJ.¹

     Elizabeth Adress was born circa 1817 at NJ.¹ She married Albert Edwards, son of John Edwards and Phebe Ball Baker, on 22 October 1835.¹ Elizabeth Adress died after 1850.¹
     As of 22 October 1835,her married name was Edwards.
