     Charles Francis McCrady was born on 11 November 1863 at Vestal, Broome Co., NY.¹ He was the son of William McCrady and Sarah Elizabeth Jackson.² Charles Francis McCrady married Mary L. Nash, daughter of W. H. Nash and M. Koles, on 19 August 1888 at Logan, Calhoun Co., IA.³ Charles Francis McCrady married Mary Ann Ball, daughter of William Ball and Thankful Jackson, on 11 February 1893 at Carroll, Carroll Co., IA.² Charles Francis McCrady died on 17 September 1929 at age 65.¹
     He had to have a leg amputated as the result of a farm accident.¹

     Merle McCrady was born on 9 August 1893 at Rockwell City, Calhoun Co., IA.² He was the son of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Merle McCrady married Lola Florence Smith, daughter of Edward C. Smith and Fannie Ann McRill, on 27 October 1925 at Howard, Miner Co., IA.² Merle McCrady died on 25 January 1969 at Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA, at age 75.² He was buried at Allison Cemetery, Allison, Butler Co., IA.³

     Lois Thankful McCrady was born on 7 July 1896 at Rockwell City, Calhoun Co., IA.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Lois Thankful McCrady married Jesse Pearl Carmean, son of Emmanual Sanders Carmean and Ida Florence Fisher, on 19 September 1916 at Lake City, Calhoun Co., IA.¹ Lois Thankful McCrady died on 27 May 1968 at El Centro, Imperial Co., CA, at age 71.¹ She was buried at Lake City Cemetery, Lake City, Calhoun Co., IA.¹
     After her mother's death she went to live with married sisters of her mother.¹ As of 19 September 1916,her married name was Carmean.

     Bessie Marjory McCrady was born on 12 November 1898 at Rockwell City, Calhoun Co., IA.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Bessie Marjory McCrady married Frank Hudson Mitchell, son of Alexander Campbell Mitchell and Caroline Dorothy Wilson, on 11 August 1924 at San Francisco, San Francisco Co., CA.¹ Bessie Marjory McCrady died on 10 February 1986 at El Centro, Imperial Co., CA, at age 87.¹ She was buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Imperial, Imperial Co., CA.²
     After her mother's death she went to live with her uncle and aunt, Steve and Cora (Ball) Iler.² As of 11 August 1924,her married name was Mitchell.

     Raymond Wallace McCrady was born on 31 July 1900 at Miner Co., SD.² He was the son of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Raymond Wallace McCrady married Mildred Kathryn Dare, daughter of Charles Daniel Dare and Carrie McElwee, on 4 December 1926 at Havana, Mason Co., IL.² Raymond Wallace McCrady died on 24 September 1939 at age 39.¹ He was buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Havana, Mason Co., IL.¹
     He was raised by another family in South Dakota after his mother's death. circa 1910.¹ He was in the U.S. Army between 1924 and 27 January 1926.¹

     Mark Bryon McCrady was born on 3 November 1905 at Beaver Crossing, Lawrence Co., SD; Comment by DGB: The 5 Nov 1905 birth date was what was remembered by both him and his older sister Bessie, but the closest birth record for South Dakota is for "baby McCrady" born 3 Oct 1905, which may or may not be his. End of comment.^1,2 He was the son of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Mark Bryon McCrady married Marion Eleanor Hickey, daughter of George Hickey and Grace Grunwald, on 19 January 1946 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL.¹ Mark Bryon McCrady died on 28 January 1990 at Aurora, Arapahoe Co., CO, at age 84.³ He was buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Denver Co., CO.³
     After his mother's death he lived with an elderly couple for whom he ran errands in return for his keep.¹ His birth name was only Bryon McCrady, but when he tried to enlist in the Army, they insisted that he have three parts to his name, so he picked "Mark" from a family who had cared for him after his mother's death.² He in the U.S. Army before 1945.¹

     Paul Leslie McCrady was born on 23 September 1909 at Beaver Crossing, Lawrence Co., SD.¹ He was the son of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Paul Leslie McCrady married Marion Hawn, daughter of Charles A. Hawn and Hattie (????), on 26 April 1939 at Dubuque, Dubuque Co., IA.¹ Paul Leslie McCrady died on 2 February 1996 at Maquoketa, Jackson Co., IA, at age 86.¹
     His aunt and uncle, Sabrah and William Waugh, raised him after his mother's death shortly after his birth.¹

     Mildred Kathryn Dare was born on 24 February 1909 at Havana, Mason Co., IL.² She was the daughter of Charles Daniel Dare and Carrie McElwee.² Mildred Kathryn Dare married Raymond Wallace McCrady, son of Charles Francis McCrady and Mary Ann Ball, on 4 December 1926 at Havana, Mason Co., IL.² Mildred Kathryn Dare died in June 1994 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL, at age 85.²
     As of 4 December 1926,her married name was McCrady.

     Anna Maie Beddow was born on 23 May 1874 at Portage, Columbia Co., WI.^2,3 She was the daughter of William R. Beddow and Martha A. Hartson.⁴ Anna Maie Beddow married Marcus Clarke Ball, son of William Ball and Thankful Jackson, on 18 March 1897 at Olivet, Hutchinson Co., MT.³ Anna Maie Beddow died in 1955.⁵ She was buried at Mount View Cemetery, Butte, Silver Bow Co., MT.⁵
