Thankful Jackson married William Ball, son of Philip Ball and Elizabeth Lee, on 13 September 1858 at Ernestown, Lennox & Addington Co., ON, Canada.¹ Thankful Jackson died on 8 December 1912 at Rockwell City, Calhoun Co., IA, at age 73.² She was buried at Lake City Cemetery, Lake City, Calhoun Co., IA.³

He is survived by one brother, Hicks Ball, Colebrook, and one sister, Mrs. Emily Darby of Colebrook; also two daughters, Mrs. I. W. Miller, Garrison, Ontario, and Mrs. B. A. Lucas, Three Mile Bay, New York; and one son, Harry W. Ball, Watertown, New York.¹
