As of 25 September 1901,her married name was Ball.1 From and obituary: Mrs. Maude Ball, 82, RD 1 Vestal, died Saturday at 2:45 p.m. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Hope) Hickling, Vestal Center, and Joan Martinek, Johnson City; four sons, George Ball, Johnson city, Otto and Mark Ball, both of Vestal, and Pershing Ball, Pine City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the J. F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main St., Johnson City, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Burtt E. Sweet, pastor of the Vestal Center Methodist Church, offficiating. Burial will be in Vestal Cemetery.4
