     As of 16 November 1873,her married name was Ball. From an obituary in the "Port Byron Chronicle" NY: Following a lingering illness, Mrs. Sarah M. Ball, age 69 years died on Sunday morning, Decomeber 5th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Florence E. Johnson, one and one-half miles east of Port Byron. She was the widow of the late George W. Ball of Kingston, Canada. Two other daughters besides Mrs. Johnson survive, Mrs. Addie Waldron of Weedsport, and Mrs. Beatrice F. Crowther of Watertown, and two sons, George E. Ball of Binghamton and Wilford E. Ball of Syracuse, and 12 grandchildren.⁴
