     James Parker Ball was born on 23 September 1878 at Marengo, Iowa Co., IA.^1,2 He was the son of Edson Robert F. Ball and Rachel Fields. James Parker Ball died on 27 September 1946 at Ceylon, Martin Co., MN, at age 68.³ He was buried at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Dolliver, Emmet Co., IA.³

     Margaret Highland was born circa 1826 at PA; cemetery records say her birth was 16 Dec 1816, but census records suggest closer to 1826; the 1900 census lists Dec 1830, with supports the December month.² She married James Shields circa 1847 at PA.¹ Margaret Highland married Amos James Ball, son of Ezekiel Ball and Nancy Tilton, circa 1863 at Cedar Co., IA. Margaret Highland married Charles Egan say 1872.³ Margaret Highland died on 28 February 1908 at Doniphan Co., KS.¹ She was buried at Iowa Point Cemetery, Iowa Point, Doniphan Co., KS.¹
     As of circa 1847,her married name was Shields. As of circa 1863,her married name was Ball. As of say 1872,her married name was Egan.
