     Comment by DGB: Two points: First, it is possible that her maiden surname was "Davidson", although the transcription of her 1728 marriage to Robert Ball shows as "Davison". Second, Dr. Druse thought she was the Mrs. Elizabeth Ball of Dorchester MA that married Ebenezer Spear of Roxbury 19 Mar 1772. End of comment.³ As of 26 June 1728,her married name was Ball.²      Image from the painting attibuted by some to John Smibert, but more likely to Joseph Blackburn. The original painting is currently in a private collection in the Boston Historical Society, MA, held by a descendant of Captain Ball.

     Alda Mae Heath was born on 7 July 1890 at NY.¹ She married Wilfred Earl Ball, son of George Washington Ball and Sarah Maria Snider, on 8 July 1918 at Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY.¹

     George Mortimer Crowther was born on 12 July 1895 at Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Thomas Crowther and Nellie (????)² George Mortimer Crowther married Beatrice Fern Ball, daughter of George Washington Ball and Sarah Maria Snider, on 7 January 1920 at Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY.¹

     Joanna Ball was born on 7 April 1732 at Charlestown, Suffolk Co., MA.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Robert Ball and Elizabeth Davison.¹ Joanna Ball married John Stanton on 23 May 1751.¹ Joanna Ball died on 22 September 1791 at age 59.¹
     Her great-aunt Lydia Sheppard of London, England, gave her a Bible in 1734.² As of 23 May 1751,her married name was Stanton.¹

     Captain Robert Ball was born on 8 December 1736 at Charlestown, Suffolk Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Captain Robert Ball and Elizabeth Davison.¹ Captain Robert Ball married Elizabeth Waite, daughter of Samuel Waite and Elizabeth Pratt, on 2 July 1759.¹ Captain Robert Ball married Mary Webber on 9 December 1765 at Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA.² Captain Robert Ball married Melicent Harris on 6 April 1767.³ Captain Robert Ball died on 22 March 1772 at at sea at age 35; he was Master of a vessel and knocked overboard when his vessel was leaving the port of Boston and was lost.⁴

     Comment by DGB: Wyman thought she was the Elizabeth Ball that married Samuel Baker 29 August 1758 at Charlestown MA. That couple had a daughter Elizabeth, born 7 April 1759 in Charlestown MA. End of comment.²

     Overton Ball was born on 12 August 1866 at Ernestown, Lennox & Addington Co., ON, Canada.¹ He was the son of Daniel Wesley Ball and Alice Maria Stover.^1,2 Overton Ball married Dora M Clapp, daughter of Irwin Clapp and Ella Cole, circa 1890.³ Overton Ball died on 8 September 1920 at Bath, Lennox & Addington Co., ON, Canada, at age 54.² He was buried at Bath United Church Cemetery, Bath, Lennox & Addington Co., ON, Canada.^2,4

     Dora M Clapp was born on 25 December 1872 at ON, Canada.^1,2 She was the daughter of Irwin Clapp and Ella Cole.³ Dora M Clapp married Overton Ball, son of Daniel Wesley Ball and Alice Maria Stover, circa 1890.⁴ Dora M Clapp married Charles Wesley Trotter on 24 September 1923 at Kingston, Frontenac Co., ON, Canada.³ Dora M Clapp died in 1941.⁵ She was buried at Bath United Church Cemetery, Bath, Lennox & Addington Co., ON, Canada.⁵
     As of circa 1890,her married name was Ball. As of 24 September 1923,her married name was Trotter.³

     Mary Ball was born on 16 September 1742 at Concord, Middlesex Co., MA.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Robert Ball and Elizabeth Davison.¹ Mary Ball married Benjamin Willis, son of Benjamin Willis and Ann (????), on 3 October 1765 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA.² Mary Ball died on 25 July 1835 at Haverhill, Essex Co., MA, at age 92.³
     As of 3 October 1765,her married name was Willis.

     John Ball was the son of Captain Robert Ball and Elizabeth Davison.¹ John Ball married Hannah Rand on 17 August 1771.²
     He died a prisoner in England during the American Revolution.¹

     Benjamin Willis was born on 10 January 1743 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Willis and Ann (????)¹ Benjamin Willis married Mary Ball, daughter of Captain Robert Ball and Elizabeth Davison, on 3 October 1765 at Boston, Suffolk Co., MA.¹ Benjamin Willis died on 11 November 1811 at Haverhill, Essex Co., MA, at age 68; "Benjamin Williss."²
