     Lemuel Ball Swena was born on 13 August 1815 at Ontario Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Swena and Polly Ball.¹ Lemuel Ball Swena married Eliza Winder, daughter of James Winder and Ann Kirk, on 19 November 1835 at Bloomfield, Crawford Co., PA.² Lemuel Ball Swena died on 1 September 1880 at Swena Ranch, Nord, Butte Co., CA, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Pine Creek Cemetery, Chico, Butte Co., CA.³

     Eliza Winder was born on 26 December 1813 at Concord, Erie Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of James Winder and Ann Kirk.² Eliza Winder married Lemuel Ball Swena, son of Benjamin Swena and Polly Ball, on 19 November 1835 at Bloomfield, Crawford Co., PA.³ Eliza Winder died on 20 March 1881 at Swena Ranch, Nord, Butte Co., CA, at age 67.¹ She was buried at Pine Creek Cemetery, Chico, Butte Co., CA.⁴
