He served seven years in the Revolutionary War.3 He Comment by DGB: While some trees list Dinah Fay as the mother to James Fay Ball, it may have been that his father, James Nathan Ball, had not been married to that Dinah Fay at the time, hence the much later date for filing of a marriage intent between James Nathan Ball and Dinah Fay.      Isaac Ball was born on 16 August 1744 at Waltham, Middlesex Co., MA.2 He was the son of John Ball and Lydia (????)1 Isaac Ball married Rachel Terrell, daughter of James Terrell and Abigail Buck, on 10 December 1776 at New Canaan, Fairfield Co., CT.3 Isaac Ball died in 1784 at Stockbridge, Berkshire Co., MA.4
     He may have been the Isaac who was grantee of Waterbury, Vermont.1

     Jonas Ball was born on 5 October 1748 at Worcester, Worcester Co., MA.2 He was the son of John Ball and Lydia (????)1 Jonas Ball married Mehitabel Latham, daughter of James Latham and Abigail Harvey, on 31 October 1776.3 Jonas Ball died on 21 November 1803 at Warwick, Franklin Co., MA, at age 55.3 He was buried at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, Franklin Co., MA.4

Jonathan Ball1

M, #299, b. 16 April 1747
     Jonathan Ball was born on 16 April 1747 at Worcester, Worcester Co., MA.2 He was the son of John Ball and Lydia (????)1 Jonathan Ball married Anna Gibbs.1
     They first resided in Southboro, but went to Marlboro, NH in 1787. He built a tavern there on the Flint place, now in the town limits of Troy, NH and continued to keep a public house until 1796, when he sold to Christopher Harris and decided to remove to New York State, probably near where his brothers had located. On his journey there his daughter, Rebeca, became suddenly ill and died before reaching the end of the journey.3
