     Comment by DGB: Amos and his wife Jane were highly likely to have been the witnesses at the wedding of Orvis Ball and Lydia Coles 26 June 1842 at Hatley, QC, Canada. The death record of Orvis states that his parents were Joseph and Lydia Ball. Whether Orvis and Amos were brothers or cousins is unknown, but it is highly likely that they were related.
