John Ball1

M, #83, b. 22 July 1697, d. 11 January 1756
John Ball was born on 22 July 1697 at Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.2 He was the son of James Ball and Elizabeth Fiske.1 John Ball was baptized on 13 April 1698 at Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA.3 He married Abigail Harrington, daughter of Samuel Harrington and Grace Livermore, say 1717.1 John Ball married Mary Clark on 12 November 1730. John Ball married Lydia (????) on 4 October 1739 at Waltham, Middlesex Co., MA.4 John Ball died on 11 January 1756 at Worcester, Worcester Co., MA, at age 58.1 He was buried at Worcester Common, Worcester, Worcester Co., MA.1
Comment by DGB: A son Daniel born circa 1720 was a guess by Warren based on his belief that the Daniel in this John's will was the Daniel Ball that married Lucy Newton and lived in Shrewsbury MA and reflects that Daniel's stated age at death, which would put his birth about 1720. It also reflects that a "son" Daniel was listed second in the will of this John Ball, so he was assumed to have been born after son James, who therefore needs to have been born 1719 or earlier. It is more likely that the Daniel that married Lucy Newton was the son of Jonathan Ball and Sarah Whitney and it was that Daniel that was raised after his father's death by this cousin John and mentioned as as a "son" in John's will. End of comment.
