     Leon Ralph Smiley was born on 1 November 1887 at Ashville, Chautauqua Co., NY.^1,2 He was the son of Oscar W. Smiley and Adeline Adelia Ball.³ Leon Ralph Smiley married Gladys M. (????) circa 1918.⁴ Leon Ralph Smiley died in September 1963 at FL at age 75.² He was buried at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach, Volusia Co., FL.²

     Ida King Hammond was born on 12 May 1871 at West Grove, Chester Co., PA.^2,3 She was the daughter of J. Wesley Hammond and Lydia A. (????)⁴ Ida King Hammond married Ralph Morris Ball, son of William Wallace Ball and Emeline Adelia Wells, on 28 December 1893 at West Grove, Chester Co., PA.¹ Ida King Hammond died on 3 November 1932 at Alhambra, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 61.³ She was buried at San Gabriel Cemetery, San Gabriel, Los Angeles Co., CA.³
