For 16 years, she was Treasurer of Artists Co-Op of Reno, which is Reno's first successful Art Gallery, now in its thirty seventh year. It was founded by Esther and her husband Lyle, with other artists in 1966. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Howard (Pete), John (Gib), Flanary; and sister, Rose M. Burgess. She is survived by a son, Larry L. Ball of Seattle; a daughter Phillis D. Smith of Reno; a sister, Mrs. Lee Ferrari; grandchildren, Eric L. and Kurt C. Karlsen; Michael, Gary, Stephen Ball and Lorie Allrid; step grandchildren, Clay, Stan, Steve Smith and Diane Newmyer; and many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.1
