     Simon O. Ball was born circa 1844 at MI.² He was the son of Thadeus J. Ball and Eliza Newell.¹
     Simon O. Ball served in the Civil War and enlisted on 26 February 1864 at Company G of the 10th Cavalry Regiment, MI. His Civil War record included: promotion to full Sergeant. He mustered out on 11 Nov 1865 at Memphis TN.³

     Lemuel W. Ball was born on 1 February 1841 at Washtenaw Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Thadeus J. Ball and Eliza Newell.¹ Lemuel W. Ball married Lora M. Stetson say 1875.¹ Lemuel W. Ball died on 4 March 1898 at Wheeler, Gratiot Co., MI, at age 57.¹

     Eliza N. Ball was born on 30 January 1839 at MI.^3,1 She was the daughter of Thadeus J. Ball and Eliza Newell.⁴ Eliza N. Ball married George Myron Casey on 1 January 1862 at Saline, Washtenaw Co., MI.¹ Eliza N. Ball died on 11 January 1902 at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co., MI, at age 62.¹ She was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee, Monroe Co., MI.²
