     Lewis Risley was baptized on 12 September 1779 at Bolton, Tolland Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Asa Risley and Ruth Badger.¹ Lewis Risley married Catherine Swain, daughter of Jacob Swain and Nancy Looker, on 13 May 1804 at Strafford, Orange Co., VT.¹ Lewis Risley married Mary Ball, daughter of John Ball and Lucretia (????), on 9 December 1823 at Franklin Co., OH.² Lewis Risley died on 8 October 1833 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at age 54.¹

     Catherine Swain was born circa 1783.¹ She was the daughter of Jacob Swain and Nancy Looker.¹ Catherine Swain married Lewis Risley, son of Asa Risley and Ruth Badger, on 13 May 1804 at Strafford, Orange Co., VT.¹ Catherine Swain died on 3 December 1820 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH.¹
     As of 13 May 1804,her married name was Risley.

     Amelia Snyder was born circa 1808 at NJ.² She married Orvel Badger Risley, son of Lewis Risley and Catherine Swain, on 15 February 1842 at OH.¹ Amelia Snyder died on 25 December 1867 at Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.³
     As of 15 February 1842,her married name was Risley.

     Jacob Swain Risley was born on 30 November 1832 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Orvel Badger Risley and Mary Ann Ball.¹ Jacob Swain Risley married Mary Scholl, daughter of Peter Scholl and Elizabeth Cowhick, on 20 September 1857.^2,3 Jacob Swain Risley died on 22 June 1902 at Oregon City, Clackamas Co., OR, at age 69.¹ He was buried at River View Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah Co., OR.³
