     Warren Julius Ball was born on 23 November 1905 at Charlemont, Franklin Co., MA; His birth name was Warren Hils and by 1910 was in the care of Leon and Belle. He apparently was adopted before the 1920 census.¹ He was the son of Leon Lester Ball and Georgia Belle Springer.¹ Warren Julius Ball married Dorothy May Shattuck, daughter of Forrest Shattuck and Lorenza May Lamoureux, on 5 February 1931 at Keene, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,2 Warren Julius Ball died on 28 January 1985 at Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT, at age 79.¹ He was buried at Elm Grove Cemetery, Montague, Franklin Co., MA.¹

     Dorothy May Shattuck was born on 5 July 1913 at Keene, Cheshire Co., NH.¹ She was the daughter of Forrest Shattuck and Lorenza May Lamoureux.¹ Dorothy May Shattuck married Warren Julius Ball, son of Leon Lester Ball and Georgia Belle Springer, on 5 February 1931 at Keene, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,2 Dorothy May Shattuck died on 17 September 1985 at Hinsdale, Cheshire Co., NH, at age 72.¹
     As of 5 February 1931,her married name was Ball.
