     Luther B. Scott was born circa 1834 at Plainfield, Washington Co., VT. He was the son of Joseph Scott and Joanna H. Ball. Luther B. Scott married Harriet M. Bean, daughter of Royal Bean, on 9 July 1854 at Berlin, VT. Luther B. Scott died on 21 August 1864 at Charles Town, Jefferson Co., VA; killed in action in Civil War.¹ He was buried at Cabot Village Cemetery, Cabot, Washington Co., VT.¹

     Harriet M. Bean was born on 29 June 1829 at Hardwick, Caledonia Co., VT. She was the daughter of Royal Bean. Harriet M. Bean married Luther B. Scott, son of Joseph Scott and Joanna H. Ball, on 9 July 1854 at Berlin, VT. Harriet M. Bean died on 12 December 1911 at Plainfield, Washington Co., VT, at age 82.

     Erastus H. Scott was born circa 1836 at Plainfield, Washington Co., VT. He was the son of Joseph Scott and Joanna H. Ball. Erastus H. Scott died on 12 May 1864 at VA; during the Civil War "Battle of Wilderness."

     Lewis W. Scott was born circa 1838 at Plainfield, Washington Co., VT. He was the son of Joseph Scott and Joanna H. Ball. Lewis W. Scott married Lucy M. Patten, daughter of John Patten and Lavina (????), on 26 April 1860 at Concord, Merrimack Co., NH.¹ Lewis W. Scott died on 3 April 1863 at Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, LA; died of disease and dysentery during the Civil War.²
     He enlisted as a Private on 23 Octobert 1861 in Company H, 8th Infantry Regiment, New Hampshire.²

Elizabeth Malvina Brink married Marshall Flint Ball, son of Stephen H. Ball and Ora Lily Mandana Flint, on 6 January 1859 at Clarence, Cedar Co., IA.¹ Elizabeth Malvina Brink died on 14 February 1930 at Colfax, Boone Co., IA, at age 93.² She was buried at Ontario & New Philadelphia Cemetery, Ames, Story Co., IA.³

     Lewis W. Ball was born on 2 January 1842 at Montpelier, Washington Co., VT.¹ He was the son of Stephen H. Ball and Ora Lily Mandana Flint. Lewis W. Ball married Sarah A. Watts, daughter of Hiram Watts and Matilda Miller, on 5 September 1866 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA.^2,3,4 Lewis W. Ball died on 12 November 1919 at Arkansas City, Cowley Co., KS, at age 77.¹ He was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City, Cowley Co., KS.¹
     He served in the Civil War and enlisted at Cedar Co., IA. His Civil War record included: Private, 31th Inf., Company C.

     Richard F. Ball was born in April 1847 at NY. He was the son of Stephen H. Ball and Ora Lily Mandana Flint. Richard F. Ball married Rosa Bixler, daughter of John A. Bixler and Amanda (????), on 11 December 1875 at Tama Co., IA. Richard F. Ball and Rosa Bixler were divorced before 1900.¹ Richard F. Ball died on 25 December 1907 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., IA, at age 60.^2,3 He was buried at Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., IA.²
