Viola Ball was born on 25 January 1864 at Weaton, DuPage Co., IL; age at death 1y 0m 20d.2,3 She was the daughter of John S. Ball and Louisa Eliza Higby.1 Viola Ball died on 13 February 1865 at Batavia, Kane Co., IL, at age 1; Comment by DGB: The gravestone is badly weathered and is lying on the ground making the year of death hard to read. Some researchers have read the death year as 1862, but the death entry for Viola in the White family Bible clearly shows death in 1865. End of comment.3 She was buried at East Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Kane Co., IL.2
