     Richard V. Ball was born on 14 February 1811 at NY.¹ He was the son of (????) Ball. Richard V. Ball married Elizabeth A. Hawkins, daughter of Benjamin Hawkins and Phebe Hubbard, on 10 September 1835.¹ Richard V. Ball died on 2 August 1874 at Port Jefferson, Suffolk Co., NY, at age 63.¹
     Comment by DGB: Richard was likely a brother of Caleb K. Ball, b. 1814, who was also in Brookhaven NY at the same time. Caleb K. Ball was at Stony Brook NY for the 1880 census and that record says his parents were also born in New York. Richard and Caleb also married sister. End of comment.

     Mary A. Peirce was born on 8 April 1838 at Peru, Berkshire Co., MA.^2,3 She was the daughter of Henry Peirce and Lucretia (????)⁴ Mary A. Peirce married William I. Ball, son of William Ball and Sally Pierce, on 3 March 1859 at Pittsfield, Berkshire Co., MA.⁴ Mary A. Peirce died on 9 July 1928 at age 90.³ She was buried at North Cemetery, Peru, Berkshire Co., MA.³
     As of 3 March 1859,her married name was Ball.

     Lucian Edward Ball was born on 11 July 1875 at Peru, Berkshire Co., MA.² He was the son of William I. Ball and Mary A. Peirce.¹ Lucian Edward Ball married Sarah Ethel Harriman, daughter of William Francis Harriman and Annetta Emma Richardson, on 30 November 1905 at Boxford, Essex Co., MA.³ Lucian Edward Ball died in 1931.⁴ He was buried at East Windsor Cemetery, Berkshire Co., MA.⁴

     Sarah Ethel Harriman was born circa 1881 at West Boxford, Essex Co., MA.² She was the daughter of William Francis Harriman and Annetta Emma Richardson.² Sarah Ethel Harriman married Lucian Edward Ball, son of William I. Ball and Mary A. Peirce, on 30 November 1905 at Boxford, Essex Co., MA.¹ Sarah Ethel Harriman died in 1958.³ She was buried at East Windsor Cemetery, Berkshire Co., MA.³

     Angeline Sarah Ball was born on 26 March 1866 at Peru, Berkshire Co., MA.¹ She was the daughter of William I. Ball and Mary A. Peirce.¹ Angeline Sarah Ball died on 8 February 1952 at Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT, at age 85.² She was buried at North Cemetery, Peru, Berkshire Co., MA.³

     Caroline Mary Ball was born on 14 April 1865 at Peru, Berkshire Co., MA.¹ She was the daughter of William I. Ball and Mary A. Peirce.¹ Caroline Mary Ball married Henry Freeman Lyons, son of Lafayette Lyons and Rhoda Stratton, say 1889.² Caroline Mary Ball died on 19 January 1895 at Bennington, Bennington Co., VT, at age 29.²

Peirce.¹ Eleanor Martha Ball married Fordyce Marshall Jenkins, son of Marshall Jenkins and Ellen L. Rhoades, on 18 March 1896 at Windsor, Berkshire Co., MA.² Eleanor Martha Ball died on 24 March 1949 at Williamsburg, Hampshire Co., MA, at age 80.³
