     Evaline Snowden was born on 1 November 1841 at Hardin, Ray Co., MO; twin of Adeline.¹ She was the daughter of David Haze Snowden and Nancy Crosswhite Ball.¹ Evaline Snowden married Elijah Dickinson Ball, son of James Slaughter Ball and Malinda Thornhill, on 27 September 1858.¹ Evaline Snowden died on 6 April 1921 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO, at age 79.¹ She was buried at Richmond, Ray Co., MO.¹
     As of 27 September 1858,her married name was Ball. From an obituary in "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri): Eva D. Ball, aged 79 years, 3804 Park Ave., passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Ridgell, 415 Myrtle, Wednesday evening, 9:45 o'clock. Survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Robert Hayson, 3804 Park; Mrs. E. E. Ridgell, 415 Myrtle; Mrs. R. K. Green, Winnwood Lake, Mo; one sister, Mrs. Sue Snowden, Richmond, Mo. Remains to be taken to Richmond, Mo., Thursday evening.¹

     He 's death certificate says his mother was Susan Ball. The 1880 census lists his father's place of birth as North Carolina.¹

     Zula D. Ralph was born on 6 August 1866 at Ray Co., MO.¹ She was the daughter of Zaza D. Ralph and Martha A. Simpson.¹ Zula D. Ralph married Irvin C. Snowden, son of Susannah A. Snowden.¹ Zula D. Ralph died on 11 August 1953 at Excelsior Springs, Clay Co., MO, at age 87.¹ She was buried on 13 August 1953 at Old City Cemetery, Richmond, Ray Co., MO.¹
