He had been a patient at the facility for three weeks and in failing health for several months. He was born in Fulton Jan. 31, 1887, the son of Allen and Emogene (Scott) Larkin. Mr. Larkin attended area schools. He was married to Fannie Simmons who preceded him in death in 1956. Mr. Larkin had been a painter and had resided in Fulton and Scotts for the last 35 years. Surviving are three sons, Donald, Three Rivers; Harvey, St. Petersburg, Fla; Elgin, Scotts; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Meda) Miller, Battle Creek; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mable Russell. Burial will take place in Climax Cemetery.1

Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Rita (Michael) Keller and Dave (Nancy) Cretsinger, all of Kalamazoo, and Sharon (Donald) Nowak of Portage.1
