     Her married name was Wilkins.¹ Her married name was Beadle.¹ From an obituary in the "Kalamazoo Gazette": Mrs. Lucy L. WILKINS - 902 W. North, passed away Friday. Mrs. Wilkins was born May 17, 1907, in Scotts. She is survived by three sons and two daughters: Kenneth Beadle, of Drayton Plains; Mrs. Joan Coward, of Roseville; Mrs. Iris Stanley, of Pontiac; Richard Beadle of Albuquerque, N.M., and John L. Wilkins; and 18 grandchildren.¹

     Jesse F. Simmons was born on 12 January 1870 at Wakeshma, Kalamazoo Co., MI.¹ He was the son of Hollis Maurice Simmons and Emly Davis.¹ Jesse F. Simmons married May L. Soule, daughter of Stephen Elton Soule and Harriet Roberts, on 2 March 1890 at Kalamazoo Co., MI.¹ Jesse F. Simmons married Alma M. Boyd, daughter of Myron Boyd and Hannah A. Dickens, on 19 April 1913 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI.¹ Jesse F. Simmons died on 7 December 1942 at Scotts, Pavilion, Kalamazoo Co., MI, at age 72.¹ He was buried at Harrison Cemetery, Climax, Kalamazoo Co., MI.¹
     From an obituary in the "Kalamazoo Gazette": Jesse Simmons, 73, a farmer most of his life and who resided in a small house on the Beadle farm, Route 1, Scotts, died this morning apparently as the result of inhaling carbon monoxide fumes from burning bedding. The smoke-filled house was discovered by James Ashley, nine year old boy, who had been sent to the home to see Simmons. The Ashley boy notified his mother and the body of Simmons was then found, partially dressed and slumped over a table. Simmon's bedding had caught about 7 Sunday evening, when the elderly man threw some kerosene into his stove. This fire was extinguished by Albert and Charles Ashley, neighbors. Apparently Simmons was awakened by smoke and was able to arise and partially dress himself before he was overcome. The fire was extinguished this forenoon before it had gotten a substantial headway. Simmons is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Larkin, Scotts; Mrs. Sarah Henry, Climax; Mrs. Madge Bates, Battle Creek, and Mrs. Effie Selby, Sturgis, and one brother, Clair Simmons, of Mentha.¹

     Mable K. Miller was born on 11 February 1878 at Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., MI.¹ She married Malcolm George Hill on 29 November 1905.¹ Mable K. Miller died on 25 February 1957 at Vicksburg, Kalamazoo Co., MI, at age 79.¹
