She graduated from Stadium High School and worked at the Clover Leaf Tavern for nine years and at Payless Drugs for seven years in receiving. She was active in the Port Orchard community, serving on the board at Givens Community Center until December 2008. She was involved with Silver Sneakers at the Olympic Gym and formerly swam at the Parkwood Community Center weekly. She is survived by her sons William, Chris and Stewart Edwardson; daughter Judi DuGuay; sister Beverly Myhre; and grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.¹

     Augusta Florence Smith was born on 21 July 1849 at Leon, Cattaraugus Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas S. Smith and Julia A. Scott.² Augusta Florence Smith married Joseph D. Ball, son of James C. Ball and Julianna A. (????), on 25 December 1867 at Decorah, Winneshiek Co., IA.¹ Augusta Florence Smith died on 31 December 1940 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN, at age 91.¹ She was buried on 3 January 1941 at Concord Cemetery, Concord, Dodge Co., MN.¹
     As of 25 December 1867,her married name was Ball. From an obituary: Mrs. J. D. Ball for many years a resident in the vicinity of West Concord passed away at her home in Minneapolis on Tuesday, December 31st, 1940, at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 10 days. The cause of her death was high blood pressure which affected the heart. Augusta F. Smith was born in Leon, Cattaraugus Co., New York, on July 21, 1849, and came with her parents to Iowa in the year 1854, where she grew to young womanhood. On Christmas day in the year 1867 she was united in marriage to Joseph D. Ball at Decorah, Ia., and the young couple in the same year came to Minnesota, settling on a farm near St. Charles, Winona Co. In 1895 they moved to West Concord, Dodge Co., remaining there until the year 1911, when they purchased a home at 3105 20th Ave. So., in Minneapolis, which had been her residence since. Here in January of 1923, Mr. Ball passed away.
     Mrs. Ball was a member of the Baptist church in West Concord, but on moving to Minneapolis took her letter and united with the Vine Congregational church near the home. For many years she was an active worker in the Woman's Relief Corps and the Order of Easter Star. Deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Nellie B. Smith of West Concord, one son, Dwight who lived with his mother and a brother, Lynden, of Washington. A son, Monroe J., passed away in the year 1919. The funeral services were held in Minneapolis on Thursday afternoon, January 2, at the Anderson Bros. chapel and the remains brought to West Concord Friday morning and taken to the Concord cemetery for burial with D. McGowan in charge.¹

Bringgold were divorced say 1907.¹ Dwight Thomas Ball died on 14 February 1969 at Faribault, Rice Co., MN, at age 91.¹ He was buried on 15 February 1969 at Concord Cemetery, Concord, Dodge Co., MN.¹
     He registered for Selective Service on 12 September 1918. His residence was Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN. He was a laborer for Bemis Brothers and was tall with a medium build, brown eyes and brown hair.²

     Minnie Adeline Wilmot was born on 1 February 1869 at Saratoga, Winona Co., MN.¹ She married James Monroe Ball, son of Joseph D. Ball and Augusta Florence Smith, circa 1887 at MN.¹ Minnie Adeline Wilmot died on 8 February 1921 at Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 52.¹
     As of circa 1887,her married name was Ball.

     Elsie Ball was born on 21 March 1889 at Saratoga, Winona Co., MN.¹ She was the daughter of James Monroe Ball and Minnie Adeline Wilmot.¹ Elsie Ball died on 28 March 1957 at Napa Co., CA, at age 68.¹
