     Thankful Stowe was born on 14 June 1738 at Middletown, Middlesex Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Eliakim Stowe and Lydia Miller.¹ Thankful Stowe married Lebbeus Ball, son of Jonathan Ball and Elizabeth Old, on 20 May 1762 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.³ Thankful Stowe was buried at Sweet Cemetery, Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY.²
     As of 20 May 1762,her married name was Ball.¹ Comment by DGB: Thankful is clearly living with her husband for the 1800 census. However, there is no Thankful Ball listed on the 1810 census index. Nor is there a female of her age living with either son Johnathan or Marmaduke, although it might be possible that she was living with one of her daughters. End of comment.

     Marmaduke Ball was born on 15 December 1779 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.² He was the son of Lebbeus Ball and Thankful Stowe.¹ Marmaduke Ball married Rebecca Messenger, daughter of Daniel Messenger and Dorcas Bronson, circa 1802.² Marmaduke Ball died on 15 December 1863 at Smith Mills, Chautauqua Co., NY, at age 84.² He was buried at Balltown Cemetery, Hanover, NY.³

     Joseph Coe was born on 18 March 1748 at Durham, Middlesex Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Josiah Coe and Sarah Burr.¹ Joseph Coe married Sarah Ball, daughter of Jonathan Ball and Elizabeth Old, on 8 January 1772 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA.² Joseph Coe married Sarah Spelman on 28 July 1785. Joseph Coe married Lydia Ackley on 13 March 1819.¹ Joseph Coe died on 22 December 1824 at Granville, Hampden Co., MA, at age 76.¹
