     James Holmes was born on 1 January 1732 at Colchester, New London Co., CT.¹ He married Sarah Jewell on 1 April 1755 at Plainfield, Windham Co., CT.¹ James Holmes died on 21 February 1812 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 80.¹

     Edna W. Ferris was born circa 1808 at NY.¹ She married Elijah Woodworth, son of Lothrop Woodworth and Mary Ball, in 1830 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ Edna W. Ferris died on 16 April 1840 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹
     As of 1830,her married name was Woodworth.¹

     Eliza Ann Fuller was born on 12 October 1820 at Madison, Lake Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Moses Fuller and Bede Ball.¹ Eliza Ann Fuller married Aaron Bartholomew, son of Samuel Bartholomew and Susanna Atkin, on 28 November 1838 at Madison, Lake Co., OH.² Eliza Ann Fuller died on 9 August 1912 at Painesville, Lake Co., OH, at age 91.¹
     As of 28 November 1838,her married name was Bartholomew.

     Russell Edward Ball was born on 30 March 1930 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Sidney Chester Ball and Minnie Elizabeth Smith.¹ Russell Edward Ball married Margaret Mary Baker, daughter of Orville Daniel Baker and Mildred Minnie Cookingham, on 18 January 1953.² Russell Edward Ball died on 13 October 2001 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co., OK, at age 71.¹

     Danielle Marie Ball is the daughter of Matthew J. Ishmael and Vanessa Mae Ball.¹

     James Ross Lord was born circa 1817 at PA.¹ He married Mary Cordelia Woodworth, daughter of Lothrop Woodworth and Mary Ball, circa 1839.²

     Phineas Chapin Ball was born circa 1801 at VT.² He was the son of Erastus Ball and Sarah Seeley.¹ Phineas Chapin Ball married Diadamia Goodrich circa 1822 at Morris, Otsego Co., NY.³ Phineas Chapin Ball died on 29 August 1869.⁴ He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, South New Berlin, Chanango Co., NY.⁴
     Comment by DGB: He may have been the "Phinehas Ball" on the 1830 census for Lisle, Broome Co., NY with a wife, young son and two young daughters. End of comment.

     Philip Charles Ball was born on 23 March 1938 at Sheffield, Berkshire Co., MA.² He was the son of Robert Ensign Ball and Hareptia Elizabeth Winters.² Philip Charles Ball died in November 1973 at age 35.²

     Helen Rose Ball was born on 26 March 1913 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Sidney Chester Ball and Minnie Elizabeth Smith.¹ Helen Rose Ball married John Myers, son of John Henry Myers and Eva Eugenia Milton, circa 1928.^1,2 Helen Rose Ball died on 1 June 1974 at Millerton, Dutchess Co., NY, at age 61.¹

     Rose Edna Lester was born in July 1877 at NJ.² She was the daughter of George Lester and Ann (????)² Rose Edna Lester married Burt James Ball, son of James W. Ball and Esther C. Wolcott, circa 1894.² Rose Edna Lester died in 1930.¹
     As of circa 1894,her married name was Ball.

     Walter Ball is the son of Allen Victor Ball and Agnes Walmarth.¹

     Charles Henry Ball was born on 9 June 1848 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Harvey Lyman Ball and Hannah Jane Ayres.¹ Charles Henry Ball married Julia Eldridge on 26 December 1870 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ Charles Henry Ball and Julia Eldridge were divorced circa 1875.² Charles Henry Ball married Maude Ethel Bryant, daughter of James Bryant and Clara E. (????), on 26 April 1911 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ Charles Henry Ball died on 29 May 1932 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 83.¹

     Soleil Elizabeth Keith is the daughter of George Gilman Keith and Melissa Elizabeth Hoover.¹

     Lydia A. Ball was born circa 1824 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Sylvester Ball and Lydia Surdam.³ Lydia A. Ball married Ambrose S. Sackett, son of Amos Sackett and Lucinda Knickerbocker, on 3 September 1843 at Sharon, Litchfield Co., CT.⁴ Lydia A. Ball married John Riphenburgh.³ Lydia A. Ball died in 1909 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.^5,6 She was buried at Salisbury Cemetery, Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.⁶
     As of 3 September 1843,her married name was Sackett. Her married name was Riphenburgh. Comment by DGB: The general index to Civil War pension files had a claim from his widow (Lydia) and from a minor child then named Lydia A. Rippenburgh (sic).      Lillian Cane was born circa 1875 at CT.¹ She married Eugene Smith.¹ Lillian Cane married James Coon circa 1896.¹
     Her married name was Smith.¹ As of circa 1896,her married name was Coon.¹

     Mary Louise Tobey was born circa 3 April 1808 at Alford, Berkshire Co., MA; age at death 75y 1m 26d.¹ She was the daughter of Ephraim Tobey and Zady (????)¹ Mary Louise Tobey married John T. Ball, son of Erastus Ball and Sarah Seeley, at Great Barrington, Berkshire Co., MA.² Mary Louise Tobey died on 29 May 1883 at Great Barrington, Berkshire Co., MA.¹
     Her married name was Ball.²

     Stephen Michael Ball is the son of Russell Edward Ball and Barbara (????)¹

     Silas H. Ball was born circa 1818 at NY.² He married Samantha I. Mead, daughter of Ephram Mead and Jane Davenport, on 1 January 1844 at Seneca Co., OH.³
     Comment by DGB: Some have suggested that this Silas was a son of Sylvester and Lydia Ball and was b. c1813 in CT. That Sylvester and Lydia had a son born in CT five years earlier than this Silas, although Sylvester and Lydia had another son, Hiram S. born circa 1819, that may have been the source of that error. However, this Silas was born circa 1818 and, according to the censuses, in New York to New York born parents. It is more likely that this Silas Ball is a grandson of Zerubabbel Ball, possibly through his son Charles. DNA testing shows that Silas is descended from John Ball and Elizabeth Pierce of Watertown MA. Sarah, the wife of that Charles Ball died in Alpine, Kent Co., MI, where this Silas lived and probably died. End of comment.

     Erastus J. Ball was born circa 1826 at Rockland Co., NY.² He was the son of Ira Kellogg Ball.¹ Erastus J. Ball married Margaret Kearns circa 1858.¹ Erastus J. Ball died in 1891.¹

     Frederick H. Ball was born circa 1865 at MI.² He was the son of Orson A. Ball and Frances Hughes.¹ Frederick H. Ball died in 1880 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.¹

     Susan Jones was born circa 1854 at CT.² She was the daughter of John D. Jones and Polly Maria Ball.^1,2
