     Clarissa Ostrander was born on 3 February 1825 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Ostrander and Hannah (????)³ Clarissa Ostrander married Horace J. Ball, son of Sylvester Ball and Lydia Surdam, circa 1842.¹ Clarissa Ostrander died on 12 March 1896 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 71.^1,2 She was buried at Salisbury Cemetery (New), Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT; on Frink family monument.²

     Harvey Lyman Ball was born on 9 June 1816 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Sylvester Ball and Lydia Surdam.¹ Harvey Lyman Ball married Hannah Jane Ayres, daughter of Whiting L. Ayres and Julia A. Surdam, circa 1848.² Harvey Lyman Ball died on 3 September 1878 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 62.¹ He was buried at Salisbury Cemetery, Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.³
