Hammond married George Roberts, son of Hoel Roberts and Susan (????), in November 1847 at South Halifax, Windham Co., VT.⁴ Martha A. Hammond married second Joseph Craig Ball, son of John Ball and Emily Wilcox, on 23 September 1866 at Colrain, Franklin Co., MA.²
     As of November 1847,her married name was Roberts.⁴ As of 23 September 1866,her married name was Ball.

     Lucy Pratt Gardner was born circa 1822 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Elijah Gardner and Abigail (????)² Lucy Pratt Gardner married John Comins Ball, son of Jesse Ball and Lydia Comins, on 1 July 1840.¹ Lucy Pratt Gardner died on 9 January 1887 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.²
