     Emeline Ball Turner was born on 20 May 1862 at West Bolton, QC, Canada.¹ She was the daughter of Joshua Turner and Sarah Ball.¹ Emeline Ball Turner married Ezra Duboyce on 14 March 1882 at South Stulrely, QC, Canada.¹

     Ezra Witherell was born on 13 November 1830 at Chesterfield, Hampshire Co., MA.^2,3 He was the son of Lewis Witherell and Martha Beswick Shaw.² Ezra Witherell married Charlott Warren, daughter of Phineas Warren and Charlott (????), on 1 January 1855 at Deerfield, Franklin Co., MA.⁴ Ezra Witherell married Emma Sophia Ball, daughter of Joseph Craig Ball and Lucy Sophia Grant, on 5 July 1869 at Williamsburg, Hampshire Co., MA.² Ezra Witherell died on 14 April 1914 at Williamsburg, Hampshire Co., MA, at age 83.⁵ He was buried at Village Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg, Hampshire Co., MA.⁶

     Ethel Josephine Ball was born on 13 February 1884 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA; birth listed as "illegitimate" with parents listed as Joseph Craig and Mary S. Ball.² She was the daughter of Mary S. Ball. Ethel Josephine Ball married Edgar E. Fletcher, son of Lester M. Fletcher and Mary Etta Bradbury, on 5 July 1900 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.³
     Comment by DGB: Warren placed her as a grand-daughter of Joseph Craig Ball (b. c1816 CT) and supposed that she was a daughter of his only son, Wells (b. 1858 MA). The issue is the naming of Mary S. Ball as the mother in both the birth record and the marriage record, although Joseph Craig (not listed as "Ball") is only named in the birth record. I think that Mary S. Ball (1862-1886), daughter of Abner Summer Ball and Mary Louisa Alley, who were living in Hopkinton at the time of Ethel's birth, would be good candidate for her mother. The point in favor of this assumption would be that the family of Joseph Craig Ball had long left Hopkinton before Ethel's marriage there in 1900, which would not be in keeping with Ethel being part of that family. Whether Joseph Craig Ball was the father of Ethel is open for debate, but I am assuming that her mother was Mary S. Ball, since that was on both the birth and marriage records and Mary S. Ball died "single". End of comment. As of 5 July 1900,her married name was Fletcher.³

     Alba Rhoda Field was born circa 1839 at Dana, Worcester Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Erasmus D. Field and Lovina B. (????)² Alba Rhoda Field married Truman John Ball, son of John Comins Ball and Lucy Pratt Gardner, on 24 February 1865 at Dana, Worcester Co., MA.²
     As of 24 February 1865,her married name was Ball.

     Helen Adelaide Gardner was born circa 1858 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Elijah Gardner and Eliza (????)² Helen Adelaide Gardner married Augustus Mason Ball, son of John Comins Ball and Lucy Pratt Gardner, on 6 February 1877 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.²
     As of 6 February 1877,her married name was Ball.

     Charles W. Flagg was born circa 1847 at Templeton, Worcester Co., MA.² He was the son of Charles M. Flagg.² Charles W. Flagg married Augusta Mary Ball, daughter of John Comins Ball and Lucy Pratt Gardner, on 15 July 1890 at Vernon, Windham Co., VT.²

     Fred Shantley married Augusta Mary Ball, daughter of John Comins Ball and Lucy Pratt Gardner, in August 1900.¹
