The 1900 census said they had 4 children but only 3 living. Samuel is in the June 15, 1880 census as 1 month old (birth listed as April). Francis Herbert's birth is listed on all his documents as June 9, 1880. He is not in the 1880 census. Either Francis wasn't born until 1881... or even possibly Samuel was actually born in June and they were twins. Either way... the 1900 census stated she had lost one of her 4 children. OR they put the wrong name and month down for Samuel and there was another child who did not survive.1
