     Hannah Brier Bean was born on 28 June 1826 at Sandwich, Carroll Co., NH.¹ She was the daughter of Andrew Bean and Hannah Brier.¹ Hannah Brier Bean married Wilbur Fiske Ball, son of James Bradley Ball and Rhoda Arvilla Palmer, on 20 February 1843 at Brighton, Essex Co., VT.¹ Hannah Brier Bean died on 28 November 1910 at Merrimac, Essex Co., MA, at age 84.² She was buried at Highland Cemetery, Newton, Rockingham Co., NH.³

     The 1900 census said they had 4 children but only 3 living. Samuel is in the June 15, 1880 census as 1 month old (birth listed as April). Francis Herbert's birth is listed on all his documents as June 9, 1880. He is not in the 1880 census. Either Francis wasn't born until 1881... or even possibly Samuel was actually born in June and they were twins. Either way... the 1900 census stated she had lost one of her 4 children. OR they put the wrong name and month down for Samuel and there was another child who did not survive.¹

     Hannah Iola Ball was born in March 1847 at Newark, Caledonia Co., VT.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Wilbur Fiske Ball and Hannah Brier Bean.¹ Hannah Iola Ball married Francis Perley Johnson, son of Amos P. Johnson and Martha Jane (????), on 4 December 1867 at Bradford, Essex Co., MA.^4,2
