Bacorn, circa 1855 at Fifth Methodist Church, Newark, Essex Co., NJ.1 George Murray Ball died in 1875; probably of tuberculosis that he most likely developed while serving in the Civil War.1
     He enlisted September 14, 1864 and was in Captain Hedge's Company, the 39th regiment of New Jersey Volunteers, in October 1864. He was discharged after eight months of service, near Alexandria, Virginia on June 17, 1665.1
