     As of circa 1948,her married name was Wiltshire. As of 28 June 1975,her married name was Cram. From an obituary: Alice Ball Cram, 73, wife of Fred E. Cram of Cheshire passed away April 15, 2001. Mother of Gregory P. Wiltshire of Wallingford, and the late Reginald and Stephen C. Wiltshire. Sister of Elizabeth Watts of Detroit, MI, aunt of Ann Drake of Sterling Heights, MI. She was born in West Haven, Oct. 28, 1927, daughter of the late Erle and Laura Jackson Ball.⁵

     John Leslie Ball was born on 15 July 1891 at ON, Canada.² He was the son of Frederick Philip Ball and Nancy Jane Gregg.¹ John Leslie Ball died on 12 April 1917 at Vimy Ridge battlesite, Vimy, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France, at age 25; killed in battle.¹
     He was in the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles as a Private.¹
